It wasn't all work! I was able to go to some amazing concerts. One memorable one was stage side for Katy Perry (parachuting in to start the closing ceremonies of the World Parachuting Competition) and Usher (even though he didn't take his shirt off since he offended the Muslim community the first time he performed in Dubai)! Felix Baumgartner (yummy) also made an appearance and never in my life have I gone to a concert where in the lobby outside they were passing around free appetizers and champagne!
Alicia Keys and Jason Derulo were amazing and I almost got to go to a Nikki Minaj concert when a friend of mine was stood up! :)
Although it wasn't a concert, Lionel Richie was hanging out at the Beach Polo match I attended and I had to bust out All Night Long when I saw him.
The Emirates love when big names come to the UAE and they certainly treat them right.
